Trying to track new ponies background, her breeders details are in the passport then nothing until the lady I bought her off who had only had her a short while, so there is a gap of 3 or 4 years to try and work out what happened to her.
Google shows she was sold as a yearling by l c seager esq at august 2010 Beaulieu sales.
The breeder seems to have had a mix of nf, appy, cob and tb crosses with some listed with their pedigrees but mine is just down as a cob x.
Would love to find out what the breeder was like, and if there's a way of finding out where she went to for the 3 years we don't know about (would the auction house still have records if I passed my info on for them to forward maybe?)

I recognise the name certainly. Have you contacted the breeder? You could try contacting Southern Counties Auctionners. Is the lot listed anywhere as that would help

Sorry to bump up an old topic but I am also trying to research this breeder having bought a pony bred by him myself. He is a 2010 cob x appy which I have seen he breeds a lot of by looking on Google, but his parents are not recorded. He also seems to sell a lot of ponies at the auction mentioned above but can't find my boy on there. Would be interested to hear if you found out any more about them x

Just a thought, is there a common prefix among the horses you have seen listed at auction? I traced a breeder back, not through the initial and surname of the breeder, but through the prefix after seeing lots of horses being sold by them with the same prefix.

Also a quick google search shows they seem to be at Wareham, maybe worth posting on a few Dorset horsey FB pages.

Sorry to bring this up but did you ever find out any details about this person? I have a pony bred by him but her parents are unknown and her breed is 'non Appaloosa' which isn't helpful
Thanks!

I couldn't find anymore I'm afraid other than what I said above :( mine is also down as non appaloosa but then on the markings page says cob x appy. Would love to see a pic of yours x

Hi, have also been trying to trace my mare's past history - she is a June 2010 cob x appy from L C Seager - she is grey roan though so probably not directly related to yours....but may have been there at same time! I have been trying to find old back sales catalogues from Beaulieu Road Sales but no luck...can only seem to find a couple of old ones on google. I would live to know where she was etc for the first 4.5 years of her life!
