as title really.
daughter wants to do some showing on her new pony, he's done lots, she's done zero, the last time I was in a 'show' show ring, was before the dawn of time.
Would love to buy a book if possible with actual useful information on, classes, dress code, etiquette - you know, all the stuff you really need to know?
Any recommendations?

There is a good book simply called "showing" by Jane Holderness Roddam. First came out in the late 1990s but funnily enough I picked up a copy in a second hand book shop the other day and it is all still very relevant.

Alistair Hood also did a good one I think it was Showing Masterclass. Nigel Hollings has written some really good stuff, may be out of print now but worth looking for second hand.

thanks all, some very good suggestions.
now got to decide what to put them in - I'm thinking SHP for starters, so they don't have to jump til they've found their feet - then maybe WHP.
Hoping she reverts to show jumping quite quickly!

I've got Successful Showing by Stuart Hollings which I'm happy to post to you for a donation to Help For Heroes. If it's any use, then PM me your address and I'll get it in the post. It's more pony orientated too so possibly more useful than Robert Oliver's or Allister Hood's.
