Anyone remember my post on RC team debacle??

Ester - precisely.
Angua-this is an open forum for anyone to join, read posts and comment if they wish. I read a thread, commented on it and am happy about it. I am not going to be told to 'get over it', 'move on' or anything else that you suggest. If I want to post/comment on something I flamming well will.

Not really following, but, for the record.

Any RC who says "be in our team" and then "err, don't be in our team" and then gets the team disqualified doesn't exactly strike me as the "friendliest RC ever".

Either all the other members have a gripe with the OP and forced her out, or the OP is onto something and the other members have closed ranks to cover their butts.

Either way, someone was shafted out of competing and I would have no interest in joining a riding club like this.

In fact, this is the exact reason I've never joined a riding club.

The end.

Sorry I had dropped this as I'd set the record straight on the RC (which was always my aim, I don't personally know the OP so no vendetta etc :))

However just want to say the team were NOT disqaulified. They came 2nd.
Whilst the 4th memeber withdrew because of the jabs technicality, it's the 3 scores which count which led the team to be placed in 2nd.

group hugs only if jelly tots are provided.

still a bummer if the rules are still the same on number of substitutions allowed for the finals are the same trolt (they might have changed since I last looked though! :D )

I love riding club politics its great :).... too many women, not dispersed by enough men :D

Ain't it the truth;)

LMAO at this :)

I have just been advised to 'pop along to the forum and take a look' by a friend - I have not been on here for ages due to work committments etc, but had to crack a smile at this thread.

Cougar - I did not go to ground as you suggest - I just have not been on here. And how have I been proved wrong? I was asked to be on the team (have emails to prove this) and then everything was changed/rearranged to accomodate (in the selectors words) "her friend". I posted facts, not incinuations. I was then told that the team had been disqualified - I posted what I was told was fact. Perhaps you need to rein in the personal vendetta a bit, huh? It's getting old, honey.

At least I keep one username, and do not go around numerous boards trying to pretend to be someone I am not to escape the heat/bad feelings of people I may have upset.

I have not mentioned the names/club in particular, and I am very disappointed with the club for their treatment. I reported this to the BRC, and contacted the chairman. I have a lot of time for the chairman as he is, as you say, helpful and friendly. I have no problems with him at all - he wrote me a letter apologising, although I do feel something should have been done to the selector, as, in my opinion it is bad etiquette what happened, NOT a misunderstanding. It was totally out of order.

This was originally a post about bad etiquette from a cliquey riding club, something many on here are all too familiar with. It was not done to run people into the ground as some of the responses have tried to do. Sadly some people need to grow up and stop living their lives on a forum. I know that some people cannot, and need to vent their anger here as they are too scared to face people in real life and say things - if anyone has a problem with me, please come and see me, face to face, I am at most of the big county shows, lots of riding club shows, and a lot of the people posting here know my home address - come and talk to me rather than posting petty remarks on a forum and dragging strangers into your own little digs.

I was not just moaning about what happened, I took action and spoke to the chairman, the BRC, and then decided to go my own way from the RC in question. I acted as well as vented on a forum. If only more people could do that.

I have nothing more to say on the matter - my gripe was with the way things happened, NOT that I did not go to the competiton, that makes no odds to me - it was the etiquette, the wording, and the way I was treated by the people in question that riled me, nothing to do with the competition itself.
