... where the horses go out to from the stables in Exning? I see the horses going down a little lane called Duck Lane and someone told me that there are some gallops down there but I couldn't find them when I drove around there nor see them on an OS map.

Can you point me in the right direction? I've seen people hack out some distinct non-TB coloured cobs with the racehorses and I just wondered where they were going?

Not from found there, so can't really help..
But the coloured cobs might have been the trainers hack.. hence being with the racehorses.. i doubt just anyone is aloud to 'join in'
 
No, I had a quick chat with one of the stable lads and that was her personal horse, not a trainer's hack. Didn't get a chance to ask where she was going as was holding up traffic asking!! :eek:

She said she was allowed to hack up the gallops in the afternoon once the lots of racehorses had finished in the morning.
 
When you go up Ducks Lane and you come to the sharp right hand turn, you will see a dirt road on your left with a gate, there is a gaps both sides for horses to go through, if you follow that, it will take you up on to the heath.
You will be going under a little tunnel, under the A14, the path then follow the A14.
