Hi all, after a bad break up I took advantage of the stress weight loss to get back in shape. Invested in a pair of these hotpants have to say I love them! I go running with a friend (who introduced me to them) but don't wear them for riding as they're quite thick/restrictive and also am worried about sweat patches. But on run last night friend explained she wears hers as much as she can and she pointed out that riding is exercise too so I should put them on. So does anyone do this???

Well I used to wear my riding and running etc but then I read somewhere that because you damp all the time under them, including your underwear etc you can end up with some nasty things going on "downstairs" so to speak ;-)

So binned mine :-(

Ludoctro I read something about that, but then I thought what the Hell noone is reporting problems (that I found and I googled a LOT of reviews!!) and although I'm slim I always manage to retain that bit of lovely cellulite!!

Jo brilliant news I will try it. I was just worried I'd get all sweaty/sweat would start staining my joddys (though that's not really the end of the world, is it) and not ride properly. Will give it a try now, thank you! :D

Can someone explain to me how these look? I mean, aren't you pouring sweat...? Doesn't the sweat soak into your on top clothes? If you wear them on their own in the gym... Don't they give awful wet patches?

Cedars no unless you remove them you don't even know your wet under them but once you take them off and the air hits your legs you feel it and also your pants are soaked, the sweat must go into them somehow I've never had wet patched and I used to wear them to work under trousers.

Well I've ordered a pair so let's see :D so you wear them all day? Or just for exercise? Did you notice a real difference? Xx

I wore them all day but they do make a funny whoosh noise when you walk, but I did not care.

Hmmm I never took measurements or that so couldn't say yes or no for sure.
I doubt they do any good but I think maybe my skin felt smoother but that could of been from being damp all the time.
I got annoyed in the end as started to find them uncomfortable. I think some people love then and some people hate them. I'd say I'm still on the fence to if they do anything.

When I remember I wear them all the time- gym, stables, work, shopping :) As others have said I've never had any problems with wet patches apart from once and that was when they were too big and loose around the leg- but I brought a smaller pair and problem sorted!

There's 3 of us in my office that got them and did the 2 week thing and lost lots of inches between us :)

I haven't had a problem riding in them- if anything they make me sit straighter!! We also think they work well as an external gastric band :D being tight-ish means we cant eat as much!
