Anyone ride though Borde Hill, West Sussex bridleway?

Is it one that they use for the Heart Foundation ride?

There is a big livery yard just behind Borde Hill so I would imagine they would use it?

I know some people who used to be there so I can ask them for you.

Is there more than one bridleway through Borde Hill?

I have only been through a couple of years ago on the sponsored ride so not sure how much of it was actually on a bridleway.

I know that there is one that goes in to the top of BH past a little lodge house but I have never seen a horse near it, you would have to do ride up the main road to get to it which is very busy.

Hi Jodie,
Yes its the one they use for sponsored rides and Horse Trials I think.
I'm trying to find suitable horse(s) and rider(s) to help feature in a fund raising calendar for 2012. The theme is 'on the bridleway' within the River Adur and River Ouse. A different horse/rider/bridleway location per month. I have a photographer on stand by (at week-ends) and am also looking at suitable picturesque venues. Does anything spring to mind.
Thanks.

There is only one bridleway through Borde Hill which as someone has mentioned is accessed off of 2 busy roads. If you phone the estate office though I'm sure they can put you in touch with the farmer who runs one of their farms as a livery yard which is where most of the land was where the Borde Hill ride used to go- whether he'd would be interested though is entirely another matter!, if you would like more info please send me a PM as I know the area very well ;

Thanks for this. I have made contact with Borde Hill Estate and apparently the bridleway which runs though the estate is currently closed until March (due to estate works or something) and was told that there was no livery yard on the estate. I guess not many riders use this right of way due to the main roads at either end. The hunt is not due back until Oct 2011 but someone could box to the location. Could be more trouble than its worth.
