Anyone riding this afternoon?

Wow, I'm so glad plenty of you felt the same as me!!! Woeisme.... what a nightmare, you certainly live up to your name!!! Hope your hat survived!!
I ended up giving my ned and her companion a lovely good groom in a nice cosy stable which was definitely the right decision!!
Lexie81 I know exactly what you mean about the sharp one, and not risking it lol!
Fingers crossed for Sunday, the weekend is not lost yet!!!

yup recently got back!

daylight= riding these days I'm afraid

spooky welsh did a very poor job at finding things to spook at really considering!

The hat survived, it survives everything! I think it needs re-waterproofing though. Mine live out, so scenes like this are enacted from time to time during the winter. I think the neds rather enjoy the drama.

Actually, it's not too bad. They live out, have a nice shelter (which they don't use), the field is good and flat, the owner maintains everything beautifully. So I can't complain. But on days like today, by the time I've finished squelching about, riding is the last thing on my mind.

Went out for a hack instead of lesson in the school, weather was blowy and showers. I was not going to be shown up by the young lad who was with me and the instructor so when the question "ok to canter" was asked, well, went for it. Lovely canter, managed to keepgoing when I lost a stirrup. Really enjoyed what was my second hack out! Confidence growing, but then there is the saying Pride before a fall!
