Well, after researching the on the net yesterday I've bought some No Nonsense Roof & Gutter Sealant. Will let you know how I get on using it and whether it works okay in the long run
Sikaflex is good too - a bit like silicon but quite a bit dearer. You can usually find it being sold on ebay in job lots that are anywhere up to a year out of date - it's still fine even at that age. We resealed the underneath of our land rover last year with it after a load of welding and it's still absolutely stuck on there like glue. If you want some and have problems getting hold of it - I might be able to grab some but it is white...
Many thanks. I've got the gutter sealant but I was reading the side of the tube this afternoon, and it says it remains semi-soft even when 'set'. This allows it to remain flexible, but I am wondering how it will last between stable mats and after lots of sweeping. I am going to try a tester of some tomorrow and see what it's like. Else I might be back in touch
depends which gutter sealant. some just forms a skin over the top and it's still as gooey underneath as it came out of the tube - makes a terrible mess. Yeah good idea - try a small bit first away from your horse
