Anyone seen this in news? Little girl (9) killed whilst on hunt.

Oh how awfully terribly sad. Imagine being the rider of "the other horse", they must be feeling so dreadful.Thoughts and prayers with all concerned. With regards to the newspaper report, they seem too concerned with costs in monetary terms and little with costs in emotional terms.

Desperately sad. I must say when my daughter was on her mini Shetland I was always terrified that a kick from even a bigger pony would get her and not him. I'm sure a lot of people thought I was overly cautious. Poor parents and family and yes, the rider of the other horse will have to suffer that forever regardless of no blame being attributed, it's not something you'd get over is it.

I heard rumours of this on the weekend, we are in Cotswold county, but then I saw nothing on the news and hoped so much that it wasn't true.

It is utterly heartbreaking, I can't imagine what her family are going through, such an awful tragic accident.

My heart goes out to them, to all involved and to Bonnie. RIP beautiful little one.

Yes it was a bit odd the repeated mention of money. Terribly sad situation however. :(

Some of the comments. Veere towards "why were they not jailed for illegal hunting" blah blah..........that is why the ££££ will have been mentioned a lot!

Apparently it wasnt even a hunt but a fun ride.

Obviously the school got mentioned because the fail couldn't find out how much their house was worth.

It was last day of the season I think EM, terribly sad for all involved and associated.

Terribly sad. My thoughts go out to all concerned. Her poor family.

I had also heard it was a fun ride organised by the hunt... I take what I read in the media with a pinch of salt these days. Working as a writer has made me very cynical about what the truth is and what truth the media wants you to know.

I know it sounds terrible but 9 year old killed on fun ride doesn't rally the support of anti's and those that do not support hunting does it and considering the Daily Mail is quite apparent of its dislike towards hunting it is no surprise. Sad isn't it really how the media is now twisting something to reflect their views. The money would have been mentioned again to draw a us and them line, as usually offered when discussing hunting - A sport for the elite with more money than sense to waste etc.

My sincerest thoughts go to her whole family, absolutely devastating news and also to the rider of the other horse/pony. Rest In Peace little one.

Such a tragic accident, horrific for everyone involved :( :(

I really hope her family don't see the horrendously callous comments on fb from the sabs.

Poor little love 😢 I can't begin to imagine how hard this must be on all of those involved, and everyone who loved her.

Very sad for all concerned

The Daily Fail is obsessed with how much someone earns and how much the house is worth and how much the school cost to send a child too if a child is involved in the article, regardless of what the article is about, not sure why.

agree - the daily fail equation goes something like this: the more you earn/the more your house is worth/if you dare to send your child to a private school the more you deserve the tragedy that befalls you. It's disgusting journalism that they churn out on a daily basis. A terrible accident and my heart goes out to the parents.

It's such a horrible thing to have happened, my heart goes out to her poor family and all those involved. Just a tragic, tragic accident.

Some of the comments on Facebook have been vile. I sincerely hope her parents don't see them.

The mother was keen to stress it was an accident and she attached no blame to the other rider. People who seek to make capital out of a child's death are so unpleasant that their opinions have no weight or relevance.

A family has lost a child. That is the only thing that is important, and I agree, the rider of the horse which kicked out must also be suffering. RIP little one.
