Can't help thinking that this would just end in carnage, but would be a good giggle I think - esp for all the 'useless' horses many of us have that aren't pretty enough for showing

What a huge pity it is so far away - we have a horse who has decided not to be ridden following a fractured stifle who works well on the ground, has a sense of fun and loves being played with. Sadly we are in north Northumberland - hope it catches on!

I can picture me getting dragged round one of them!

That's what I had in mind - my horse is so unbelievably nosey I think it would be hilarious!

You lot never entered a handy pony competition?! I did a few with frankie when he first came back into work - hilarious and great fun! The one we did in-hand was particularly amusing but uneventful - we ran out of time asn the two classes clashed, so I took him around the course in-hand to say I'd done it. Judge's words were "You're not taking THAT in there are you?!" He was completely "meh" about it. Judge ate her hat and awarded us a Speshial rosette!

Theres videos of horse agility on you tube, too. Looks fab!

I want a go I really want a go, I have a horse that to be ridden is interesting and would be lovely to do something fun with him......

Hmm, yes - not sure I'll be doing it. Tried 'playing' with my horse in teh field one time - thought (wonder if he'll follow me over some small fences" - with feed as an incentive obviously!)

He certainly did and seemed to think it was fun - all went went til i missed my 'stride' and caught my foot on the fence falling flat on my face - not so much fun when you're being followed by half a tonne of horseflesh! lol

I'd love it! Share horsey likes free schooling and this would be great for building on that and on trust for when I ask him to walk past terrifying tarpaulins etc, etc.

edited for wobbly spelling

they were posted the other week....... I will say the same as I did then.... the reason I have a horse is so that I don't have to do the running as I am rubbish at it!

I think it looks really fun. Like the sound of the 5k run with obstacles (though I'd have to get fitter first!). My old horse is really fun to loose school as he just follows me everywhere, in walk or trot. Not sure if he'd follow me over jumps though, I expect he'd let me jump them and go round the outside himself! Also I'm not sure he'd follow if in a field of grass as pictured here, I expect he's rather stop to eat and leave me to do all the running around.
