Don't seem to be a huge number about with real quality at the moment (don't want a wb). Found 'Brittania's Mail', anyone been to see him or used him? Thought he looked promising with a good temperament from the video. May be worth a look.

Yes, have seen him a few times. I really like him and the breeding just doesnt get much better than that! He goes nicely, he moves well without being extravagant, he has plenty of jump. He's a fraction long, perhaps could be built a little more uphill but he's strong in the body and has a good neck.
However, for me he perhaps just lacks a little something, his full sister is the more exciting horse to watch imho. He's out proving himself in competition and I'm sure he will attract good mares as he moves up the levels. I considered him for my mare this year but he doesnt quite complement her weaknesses. I would use him on the right mare

I agree with The Mule, I found him lacking that stallion quality when I saw him, though he is obviously a useful sort. If you're looking for an event sire, his sire Jaguar Mail is going to be standing in the UK from next week, available through Elite Stallions (contact James Crawford for info). He is 7/8 tb I think with a fraction of SF? Also have a look at Sula Blue. Came 3rd in his first go at advanced level and a very exciting full TB. Very nice in the flesh too.

Thanks for replies. Have ISH broodmare, 3/4tb, 1/4ID, built like NH tb, 1/2 sister 4* & olympic eventers, bred us 3 foals. First & 3rd by Tinsley Faerie Legend. Oldest now 5 & doing very well in her first season of ode (won 2 out of 4 entered, all dressage scores under 29%), very pleased with her & little brother, lovely horses. Second by Catherston Dazzler, stunning, again wonderful movement / confo, showing great scope in field (literally jumps for fun). Mare has amazing movement & temperament which she gives to foals, but physically they take afer sires. She's also 16.3hh, & foals have been getting progressively bigger (15.3hh, 16.2hh, third expect to make 16.3hh).

Looking for another tb or mainly tb stallion with natural eye for a stride to fence. Mare by Kiltealy Spring out of Florabunda (tb). We took a risk using TFL at his first season standing at Brendon Hills. Don't have unlimited budget, so looking for quality young horse, must be AI as we don't leave her anywhere (had very bad experience loaning her one year to GB eventer who has gone into breeding as well, stud where she went for them did everything wrong & sent her back in very bad state, not surprisingly she didn't take for them). So looking for quality, but can accept unproven.

I'd definitely look at Sula Blue then.

Second that - or how about the Brendon Stud's Caretino Glory, who is proving himself to be an outstanding sire of SJers and eventers? The first foal that I bred out of my ISH mare by him won the 2007 PAVO BYEH yearling championship, and he has a number of six- and seven-year olds who are doing brilliantly in both disciplines. With his breeding, he adds the movement as well as presence and athleticism, and all his youngsters that I've come across so far have had lovely temperaments

I'd go for Sula Blue too. He is going to be one of those dark horses that sneaks up on people as up till now no one has heard of him yet last week he had his first Advanced run eventing and came 3rd....not too shoddy at all!

Been looking him up, yes very definately worth a look at. Definately my type, quality that is sensibly priced.

Apologies....I was simply quoting his FB page however even so AI is still ADVANCED Intermediate with the Adv dressage etc and only one step from full Advanced.

Thats true, but I think we'd all agree that it's the advanced xc that sorts the men from the boys!!
