Hello lovely lot.

I'm after a lovely pair of new breeches. I dont mind spending a bit of the student loan on them!! Has anyone got any recommendations? I want them to event in.

Thank you in advance!!!

Budget? Top of the range and my favourite are Pikeu -- as and when money will stretch! middle money would be Caldene and Harry Hall...

Another firm vote for Pikeur - lovely fit and last well. Classic case of costing a lot but getting what you pay for!

I have the Pikeur Luguna fullseat breeches and they're flamin' GAWJUS. Very flattering and a lovely colour (not sure what it's called but they're a lovely pale cream. Comfy and very smart. Not cheap though!

Have fun shopping! I love buying horsey stuff it never gets boring!

how long do your pikeur last? do they run true to size?

I've had mine 8 months and they look great still - although there is some darkening of the fullseat material from where my saddle has got gunk on them but I think my washing machine's just a bit rubbish as all my jodh's have it. The Pikeur's still have no bobbling or anything like that though and look as good as new when I'm in the saddle and you cant see the very slight darkening on the inner bit, although I suppose they are still under a year old anyway...

I found they ran slightly big if anything - I'm a size 8-10 but have a biggish bum and thighs compared to the rest of me and I took an 8 in the Lugunas (either 24/26 - can't remember but think they're 24) xx

Schmachers all the way... I bought a pair in a sale last year purely because they were cheap and nice colour and now have 6 pairs as nothing else I have ever ridden in has been as comfy. I broke the zip on my smart beige breeches sj the other week and was actually quite pleased as it is an excuse to buy another pair... ebay here I come! :)
