Anyone trained with Anna Bostrand-Daly?

She is fantastic! I met Anna not long after she moved into my area, after having various problems with my horse (tacking up, lungeing, ridden work) by which he was becoming not only a danger to himself but to all who handled him, my farrier told me about her and I jumped at the chance to have a flatwork lesson, it was after a few lessons that I learned that Anna is highly experienced in natural horsemanship techniques and I left my boy at her yard one day when his behaviour had become so bad that I couldn't even get onboard, I followed his progress carefully for 2 weeks and after this time period I was allowed to get back onboard, and to start working with him on the ground. His attitude had totally changed. It turns out it was completely my fault as I was not being his leader and so he took it upon himself to lead me. Less than a year later, I am still in training with Anna, and we have gone from strength to strength, I can take him anywhere, I feel he would carry me through anything and just as importantly he goes so much better. He has gone from a completely heavy on the forehand nutcase to a forward, but incredibly responsive ride and we are out competing whenever we can, and doing well I might add! My advice is if you are thinking about going to her, drop her a message or give her a call, her methods are totally kind, it's all about fair leadership, communicating in a way the horse will understand, to make them want to work with you and not against you.

Ohh and silly me I should have mentioned Anna's qualifications, she has undertaken training in several natural horsemanship programmes, including monty roberts, kelly marks and parelli, from this she has developed her own style of training, incorporating bits of each. She has also been riding at grand prix level since the age of 14, the lucky girl! (or should I say hardworking!)

Hi

Where did Anna ride as Grand Prix as I have googled her and cannot find any results. She is riding prelim unaffiliated so I wouldn't have thought that was allowed?

I have to say I enjoyed her lesson when she came out to see me but after that, she cancelled two lessons and kept telling me she will give me dates to re-book but never did! So I was extremely dissapointed as I had heard great things about her. I think I was maybe a little far for her to come (about 45mins-hour) but she could have told me rather then never contacting me again! Which was a shame as I did enjoy her lesson. I also did try to look up her dressage scores but could never find any competition history?

It would be allowed depending on the venues own criteria.. some places say "not open to riders with BD points/ more than 10 BD points" or whatever but some don't bother so anyone could enter.

I just looked her up on BD and she isn't shown as being a rider on there. Doesn't mean she hasn't competed GP abroad of course...
