Anyone tried this new Girth??

I've seen it but not used it - my main negative would be that such a huge amount of elastic is likely to deform and stretch quite quickly - so your turnover rate would probably be reasonably high as the girths need replacing.
And I don't know about everyone else but I find that the elastic inserts allow you to tighten the girth more than you would normally as it will always tighten a bit more....
(so i'd always put the elastic on the off side and tighten on the near....)

Looks too narrow for my liking. I like girths to be as wide as possible to spread the pressure over a wider area to protect the muscles underneath

Hmm, its seat belt material at the top which I think MUST dig in

The middle section I think they have modelled on the Sci girths which are EXCELLENT, but ££ and thats because they are so costly to manufacture to a decent standard.... hmmm!!!

Thanks Folks - you've noticed much more than I did!
Only interested as have a barrel of a Highland with NO withers and cant get on unless a strong man is hanging off the other stirrup!
Using a Barnsby Grip Pad and a Wintec Elasticated Girth but it still slips!!

Another vote for the Stubben Trevira string girths, they are super wide to spread the pressure and excellent on witherless wonders!

Mounting Block?

My thoughts exactly, sorry but girths shouldn't be bought for their stickyness they should be as comfortable and well fitting for the horse in question. I feel your pain as I had a barrel shaped Highland for many years, he wore an Atherstone leather girth as it was the best for his shape, girth grove and skin. As for getting on it was mounting block, leg up or a running vault...he used to moved at the last minute, if he could laugh he would sound like Muttley!
