Looking for some advice. My horse is currently in a kk ultra, and leans heavily on my hands, and often sets her neck too. I'm looking at changing her bit, to either a neue schule tranz lozenge in a hanging cheek or a neue schule Waterford. Or am open to other recommendations! I've tried her in various mylers, but didn't get on with them. (teeth, back, saddles etc all checked!) thanks

Hi shell1978, can't help with the bits you've mentioned but my horse leans heavily too and I was recommend a Neue Schule Verbidend by the Bit Bank. So far so good, it hasn't completely alleviated the leaning but I think she feels lighter and doesn't hang off me quite so much!

Oooo, may look into that thanks!

Erm, if your horses are leaning then so are you..........it takes two to pull. The solution is not in the bit, it's in what's on the other end of the reins.

Agreed with the points above.

My boy had a habit of leaning (and I had a habit of leaning back!) I have recently started having lessons with a classical instructor and it has helped no end - I don't lean and neither does he!

As an FYI, my boy is in a neue schule tranz angled lozenge hanging cheek, and he goes beautifully in it. I had tried the verbidend but he couldn't get on with it.
