As some of you may know I am having a pretty hideous time at the moment. My partner of 7 years has decided he never loved me and he hates the house. I spent the last 5 years renovating and rebuilding the house of our dreams, have our horses and dogs at home and he has been out of the country for the past 15 months coming back once a month for a few days, so to suddenly announce all that when the contract is over and he arrives back in the uk for good, has really knocked me badly. I cannot move out, have to stay till house is sold as all my money is tied up in it, but I am going stir crazy. For 5 years I have had so much building and renovation work to do that I never had a spare moment. Now I have nothing to do and weekends fill me with dread. So what I was wondering was............. anyone out there in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset fancy a dog walk? My Beddy Flodden is well socialised, loves other dogs, but is well mannered and calm So perfect for a walking companion to something that is a little nervous. Or will play like a look with another loon.

Sorry to hear of your situation. I would love to come for a dog walk, but I'm more than a stones throw away - N Dorset/Wilts/Somerset boarder.
I hope you find several 'walkers', and have something to smile about soon.
Hugs.

I'm in North Somerset and have 2 Great Danes - weekends are a bit limited by on call at times but would be happy to meet up for a walk when I'm not on duty :)

Away on hols at the moment but if you want to arrange something PM me and we could sort something out when I get back if you like?

Yaaaaaaay i am not a total outcast. South Hams, not to far, and by North Somerset do you mean Minehead way or up towards Bristol. A great Dane and a Bedlington, wonder what he would make of them. He loved the Irish wolfhound he met at training. definitely need a meet up then to go walking. We have such wonderful country on our doorstep Dartmoor and Exmoor plus all the beaches.

are you north or south dartmoor? as the crow flies im 9 miles from the southernmost moor! i have a lab and a springer both are fun loving and well socialised!

I am north Dartmoor, so would have to come down. but thats fine, I need to get away from here so happy to travel for day out. Also have a cousin at Loddiswell so can pop in to see her at the same time.

Don't be silly you have plenty to do!

Changing all the locks!

Packing up all his things and leaving them in the garden shed.
Oh, and before you pack up his things and you sound like a handy woman, sew all his trouser legs up with several tiny tight little stitches, about four down each leg, ditto with socks, pants, shirts and sweaters. Pack them all neatly laundered and folded.

That should occupy you for a while.

Would love to walk with you but a bit far away in Dorset.

About an hour north of Exeter. If he will run around like a loon then I can provide a willing partner in crime :D

Count me in Bosworth :D

I'm on Exmoor - lots of fabulous walks here if you fancy a change of scenery or perfectly happy for a trip down to Dartmoor :)

Almost Bristol but not quite :)

Dogs like the car and am happy to drive - will keep an eye out and see what you guys arrange...

Karen C, are you near me? I'm utterly skint atm so cant commit to drive anywhere but if someone nearby has room in the car for me and one of mine I'd like to come along.

Bosworth - have a wedding reception the evening of the 3rd so would prefer either that morning (so I have time to come home and remove dog hair/slobber etc and make myself look respectable ;) ) or the afternoon of the 4th (to allow time for hangover to wear off!)

Viszlak - PM me and can see if you are near me or if I could pick you and yours up en route :)
