Anyone use a half numnah rather than a full one?

If so why?? Do you think there are any benefits, or does it really not matter.

Hve just been brought a griffin nuumed sheepskin half numnah.......

I don't use a half numnah but something similar to the prolite but smaller. I don't use a numnah with its because it would be too much padding for the saddle as he has no muscle. Our saddle fitter came out and fitted it like that without a numnah and it works fine with him, we sometimes get odd looks at shows but my horses comfort is more important then fashion

I use a half pad riser for the same reasons as kokopelli. Once his muscle has built up I'll use a full pad again.

No, you can get 1/2 pads that have pockets to put shimmys in to alter the fit - good for asymmetrical muscle!
