Anyone use a Saddle Mate?

Hi all,

I am looking into ways to transport saddle in the back of my car. I have an 18" Albion K2 Jump saddle and I'd like to know if the flaps are going to drag and curl. Is the saddle mate tall enough for a saddle this large?

Any other ideas?

is that the little half circle one with the bit underneath to store stuff? I have one that my dressage saddle sits on without touching the floor!

It would be fine, I have an 18'' gp that has longer flaps than the k2 jump and it has room to spare. I have mine in my lorry as I only have a rear tack locker and its so useful.

We use one for a dressage saddle and it was fine. The only problem we found was that the saddle will slip off if you put the numnah underneath when travelling it

I use one and find it brilliant, I did buy some non slip grippy stuff which i put over saddle mate then saddle on top, this stops saddle slipping off.. The middle is handy for keeping things together in one place
