Hi,
I am thinking of getting an RS-tor but I am not sure if it will help and how easy it would be to use in the heat of the moment??
Does anyone have any experience of one?
Does it really stop you twisting and coming out the side door? From what I can see it looks like it sits to one side so I was unsure how stable it would actually keep me?

I use one every time I ride. Its saved me from hitting the deck on many occasions as my horse went through a stage of stumbling and ending up on his knees.
You can hold it in any hand and it really does pull you back into the saddle.
I highly recommend it :)

Thanks have took the plunge and been parted from my money, I only hope that means I wont be plunging or being parted from my horse!

Please let us know how you get on Sodapop. I've seen them but can't quite fathom out how good or otherwise they would be so definitely interested in your feedback.

I use one with my youngster; that, along with a Heather Moffat Seat Saver and Mountain Horse Rimfrost boots means there is absolutely no way he can get me off! I am only 5'2 and bought a small one. Works fine for me on my 17.5 inch saddle. Must admit, takes a bit of getting used to. I keep dropping mine and have to remind myself to take it up again!

I have one and use it when I hack and jump. Its really helped me confidence wise as well as keeping me glued to him better when he spins or spooks. I would recommend it, however when I have been out on a hack and needed to use my riding crop have found myself dropping the RS-tor to use the crop and then trying to grab it back again. Just takes a bit of getting used to.

I've got one but haven't had to use it since I put it on. I don't know if it's given me extra confidence which is transferring to my mare, but she hasn't done a flying leap away from a horse killing leaf since having it.

I'm not very good with neck straps, I forget to grab it.

Oh did they laugh when I put it on, but it'll be used to back a youngster next year ;)

I'm the queen of safety on my yard, even though I have never come off my horse in the 6 months I've owned her :D Did have a near miss when I was hanging horizontally out of the side door after a huge spook but somehow managed to hang on with my leg and haul myself back up.

I'm the only one who wears a bp, and insists my horse is hi vizz'd up like a christmas tree when hacking out (rider hacks her out). When I eventually pluck up the courage to hack out myself, I'll have my point2 on aswell :D

Great bit of kit though, you forget you've got hold of it and it doesn't interfere.

I bought one for my old horse who had a habit of throwing people off. Never really got the chance to test it though as he was out of work a week after I got it, and he's gone now so it's spare. If anyone wants to buy it off me, please PM me.
