for mane pulling? My lad is a declicate flower and doesnt like it pulling and I have been told to use a numbing gel, but not sure what I should be looking for.

Is it something I can buy in boots?

I am gussing they dont sell that in boots? Where would I get it from?

I think they would sell it in the larger boots, behind the counter? As in for toothache, just don't mention it's for your horse, they get funny about selling things for use on animals.

Otherwise you could try a Neal's Yard or good health food store. Would make your own eyes sting tho surely, in those quantities?

Most local chemists have it, or the larger Boots and Superdrug stores. I get mine from the chemist at the top of the road for about £2.

Mix Clove Oil with rubbing alcohol to dilute it and apply to mane. Sort of works. I'm glad I have Clyde cross as you can do virtually anything with no fuss if they can put their heads in food. My youngsters tolerate mane pulling at tea time - I take several weeks to pull the mane so it dowsn't all grow back at the same time.
