I have 2 horses that walk their hay into their bedding and waste a lot if it unless I use nets but I much prefer to feed from the floor and this seems like a good compromise - any reviews good/bad?

I had them for both of my girls but sold them as didn't get on with them at all. From what I can remember they don't hold much hay, certainly not enough for mine overnight. There is a tray at the bottom that tilts if you see what I mean because otherwise they wouldn't be able to reach the hay at the back once the hay level is low, this collects hay seeds etc at the front and is not easy to get at to clean so over time all this goes mouldy and horrible. I also used to find sometimes the hay didn't slide down this 'tilt' so there would be some left at the bottom at the back which they couldn't reach, one of mine used to get frustrated by this and try to get her feet in to pull it. The bars are narrow so she couldn't manage it but something small could get their feet through.

It's also a pain if you have a horse which spits food around the edges of their bowl because with these it falls down the sides into the hay section and eventually ends up at the front of the 'tilt' mixed in with all the mouldy hay seeds.

They need moving and the floor underneath and the plastic tray thing cleaning on a regular basis which isn't easy when they are attached to the stable wall.
