isn't that a loop ring snaffle? my horse wheres one of those but without the double joint in it his has one join, its a good bit for pole action?! so im told. it is a good bit my horse mouths/works lovely with it. but if i want to do local dressage i cant use it as it helps with poll pressure so basically it would be cheating!!!

i am looking for a bit of breaking power while hacking, its a revolver lozenger from jeffries

yep we used it on a show pony that was passing through the yard...

its called a wilkie and is one of the more gentler wilkies as the others tend to be thinner so more severe...

the orignal guy who invented it made it for little ponies so the riders could control their head, but is now used by a lot of people in showing, esp the ones who ride natives! lol

its good for poll control, but it also works quite like a gag but less severe so is good for unsteady hands. my pony dosent like it, but fortunatly for me he goes on the bit in a normal french link!

if your looking for some control you could try the maguinness (rollers inside the bars of the bit) or just a french link - my boy respects both of these! lol

the wilkie can also lead to overbending...
