Was suggested I try these, does anyone know what they are like?

Do they work and if so how they humanely encourage use of the hind legs effectively in the air?:confused:

Veredus - Pro Jump Fetlock Boots (Velcro)
An "active" hind boot that humanely encourages use of the hind legs effectively in the air. An amazing effect is produced by this uniquely shaped boot. Adjustable velcro straps for fine tuning. Fetlock guard with anatomically shaped shell...

A friend uses them with great success. They don't appear to need to be particularly tight to be effective and don't have anything to harm a horse.

i've just bought some and nearly got launched into orbit the first time i used them! my horse is very careful naturally tho and only hits things when i ride like an idiot. a lot of pro sjers use them and other similar types of boots- but i would only use them in comps and not for schooling in. in fact i've been putting them on after warming up to SJ....just before going in the ring.

There are 2 schools of thought about using them - some say just put them on to go in the ring. My friend uses them for schooling and warm up too as the horse can over-react and frighten itself by coming too high behind. He finds it best for the horse to be used to them and jump in a consistent way.

i'm not entirely sure but think its to do with where the straps go- it causes a bit of a pinch effect which causes them to exaggerate the movement behind. but i could be wrong....
