Anyone used a Horse Whisperer to 'Talk' to your horse ?

I've heard there is a chap local to Berkshire/Hampshire who can communicate with horses to help get answers to issues/ problems that are bemusing us humans. Now, I am open to all things 'you can't explain' ie mediums, spirits etc (and been pole axed by what some have told me that they could not possibly have known, so I do not dismiss things easily. So I am intrigued to hear of others experiences and whether there is any mileage in investigating this route.
 
Friend had one speak to her horse. Horse was at vets and going to be pts the next day. She wanted horse to know she was loved. Communicator told her she wasn't ready to be pts, the vets were wrong as to what was wrong with her and it was wrong to have her Pts. Poor friend had a very difficult night after that, explained to communicator the X-rays etc but she was adamant the vets were wrong. Not the most helpful thing to do
 
There's nothing like your own experience spangles... if you feel you need it, do your research and get one with it. Don't look to HHO for that, there'll never be the answer you are looking for despite all the positives.

I guess that's the danger, that you hear something you don't like ie: your horse doesn't like you :-(
 
I did, to try and get to the bottom of my horse's seeming lack of energy or enthusiasm. She was totally wrong on a couple of points (said he didn't think he could jump any more whereas due to his pigeon toes he has never jumped and has no concept of it). She did however point me to the right direction to find my missing cat, although that could have been coincidence, if a fairly long one. These were both done at a distance

It was awful.. apparently the horse I've known for 7 years actually LIKES schooling...

He tells me differently.
That being said other found him good.. I'm not a great believer in these sorts of things.
 
I am sure there have been threads here on animal communicators so you could search. The answers seemed to vary between fantastic and no use at all. I think I would try it if I needed. I would go with recommendations.
 
A friend of mine used someone called Julie Dicker years ago to "talk" to the old mare she had.

Julie was incredibly accurate, my friend was on the sceptical range of the scale, but Julie said that the mare she was "talking" to had told her stuff that she could not possibly have ever known, especially about an old pony that had been with the family many years previously for the daughter (now grown up) had ridden but had suddenly had a change in behaviour which was inexplicable, and the mare told her why that was. No-one could ever have known that.

Unfortunately Julie passed away a good few years ago, but she did write a book, which I have got.
 
Did it once with OH's horse. Animal communicator came out with a load of guff, obviously assuming I was the owner/rider. In fact, I had never sat on the horse and had little to do with it. So comments like "he loves it when you brush his face" or "he doesn't like it when you make him wait for his feed" were stupid. I did at the end say that this wasn't my horse but she claimed the horse wished I was!

fine if the horse tells the communicator what is actually wrong. load of rubbish if not!
 
A lady from the village owned a beautiful horse, she was too scared to ride it but it wanted for nothing, shone like a diamond, spotless stable, feed up to the eyeballs but had two hours in the field only when it was dry as she didn't want to get it dirty. It had massages, everything.The communicator came and did the whole yard and told her her horse had said it was bored, it wanted to get dirty and run in the fields and go out for hacks like the others not stand in the stable all day. Whether this was exceptional observation skills or the horse really talking who knows! X
 
I am very skeptical . My friend had one out to my horse who was having a few issues. I found everything she said complete rubbish , most things were completely wrong , she threw a few generalizations in there for good measure. While I stood rolling my eyes, my friend found something to connect everything she said to... I certainly would never use it for anything more than a bit of fun. She then started telling us he had pain in his foot and jaw, which really annoyed me as he has regular vet and physio checks! To use it as a diagnostic tool is simply dangerous imo... and I know a few people that do use it instead of the vet.

Isn't that the guy who couldn't hear the Peel horses whispering "I'm actually a pure bred arab who'd be easy to re-home if you just get my feet rasped and give me some grub, please don't shoot me" ? Or is it a different person with the same name (apologies if this is the case).

Didn't it come to light in the court case or before that Cooper Wilson himself offered to rehome some of those Arabs but the RSPCA were hellbent on them being shot for their own purposes?

Not that I'm advocating him as horse whispere but I do remember reading the above at some point during the sorry tale.

No idea, sorry. Doubt there's two Cooper Wilsons working as animal communicators though!

I can only speak about my personal experience and I've used him on several occasions for different horses and a dog and he was mind-bendingly accurate!
 
Also, was Cooper Wilson connected to the horse that was shot by a livery yard and dumped at his owners house a while ago?
I might be wrong but that name stuck in my head for some reason.
It may well be another person or I've got it wrong. Although a animal communicator and a horse slaughters would be a very odd combination of jobs so maybe I've got it mixed up!

This really surprised me so I did some Googling. According to an article in the Daily Mail -

"The RSPCA said there was a 'difference of opinion' with Mr Wilson about the suitability for rehoming of the horses he didn't want to shoot."

I know, I know it's the Daily Mail, but I don't suppose we'll ever know for sure what really happened. Poor horses 😞

I agree. I've also seen people using them to find some nonsense as an excuse for their horse's poor behaviour, which I find equally dangerous as instead of training the horse they instead make sure that they don't wear that hat he hates, or switch his bedding to his neighbours.

If you get someone in but keep a practical open mindset and don't act on anything they say without double checking then it seems fairly harmless though
 
And from another article the following year:

Only later in the trial, during the cross-examination of the man who despatched the horses, livery contractor and licensed slaughterman Adrian Cooper Wilson, did the truth come out.

He told The Mail on Sunday last year that some of the horses could have been rehomed, yet he was ordered to shoot them by RSPCA staff.

I think he used to previously work for the hunt hence why he is a licensed slaughterman. I could be wrong though!
 
A friend had a communicator out for her horses, and got her to "speak" to Alf at the same time. All she said was that he didn't feel comfortable with the amount of cuddling that was inflicted on him.

I knew from the outset that he wasn't a cuddly horse, so I have never forced him to be cuddled! Unless there was a phantom cuddler on that yard, the horse has never been forced to submit to any love bombing!
