Very positive. I used it on a former racehorse who was struggling to keep weight on. We were quite scientific about it, taking measurements at each session, monitoring heart rate, etc.
He put on condition all over his body, he increased the amount of water he was drinking and his resting pulse rate lowered during treatment. I asked for a session on my self - I wish I could tell you more but i fell asleep very early on in the session and awoke feeling very rested and very thirsty.

Me too.

My oldie has Bowen regularly (every 6 weeks) to help his old bod. He really does enjoy it and it certainly adds to his overall comfort and condition. There is a visible change in him throughout and after the sessions.

I too am a big fan for myself. I wont bore you with the saga but Bowen saved me from some potentially disabling back surgery and 'cured' a chronic (20 years!) condition.

Amazing results. Seems like they are doing very little during treatment but the change in muscle tone and condition over weeks is better than any therapy I've had for my horses

Interesting!
I was looking at it as an option for Boo. She's unhappy and I can't pinpoint why, she's been declared 'good to go' by 2 different vets, back, teeth, saddle, etc all fine, but still it seem there's something wrong

My friend has recently qualified and used both my horses as case-studies.

They both enjoyed it and seemed to benefit from it. It certainly doesn't so any harm and you normally only need 3 treatments.

I have has Bowen treatment on my shoulder and the results were fab.

Thumper has Bown treatment - he's had about three sessions since I had him, and has another next Wednesday.

They have benefited him - although can't exactly pinpoint how and why. But overall he looks a physically stronger horse, with much better musculature.

Yes, and I can recommend someone very good not a million miles from you if you're interested? Spans uses her too.

I had her out to my old mare, and it did seem to help - deffo identified points of stiffness.

It's one of those things where I think it helps but is no substitute for a decent chiropractor/physio if that makes sense. It's like a good massage in some ways.

Yes I have had very good results with it, with my mare and me !

Bowen prevented me having to have surgery on my back.. Since having the treatment I have had hardly any pain or the cripling replases that I used to have.

Lots of positive experiences

I'm sure I read somewhere that horses have to have time off after treatment? Is that true? Doesn't matter if that's the case, I'll just know not to book anything

SC - was about to ring Beth Darrall... who would you recommend?
In Boo's case it wouldn't be used instead of any other type of therapy, but seeing as we've been down all the usual routes I thought this would be worth a go.
