Has anyone here used Finer or Broadfiled Stables recently to build a new stable block. We are looking to build just a small stable block potentially just 2 stables and a covered area for Farrier, Physio etc. Does anyone have any recommendations? TIA xxx
PS we are based South Northants x

Yes we’ve had 3 lots from Broadfield, basic but well built and the oldest were put up in 1997 and still in good condition and used today
The latest were put up 2 years ago, bit like you’re after a small yard and it was wet and muddy access but they were towed on and just got on with it and they’re very nice, doors and windows fit well and while they were here saw one of their 10 yo doors had dropped and fixed it.
We have always found them very competitive and good to deal with, I would give them 5 stars

We used Broadfield for the stables we put in about 6 years ago. Decent quality, service good and competitive. We ordered a barn to be put in start of this year and had lots of issues - they just seemed too busy and had supply issues. Months after ordering we still didn’t have a delivery date so cancelled.

I thought the original Broadfield stables company had been taken over by Redmire, but reading the about details, maybe they haven’t.
I had mine from them in 1985, and they are still going strong. I have had the roof redone, and they are creosoted most years, but very little has otherwise gone wrong.

Redmire Equestrian Limited, Broadfield Stables Limited aka Broadfield Garages, Caracas Holdings Limited and Vale Stables Limited are all owned by Martin Potter, the Director and Manger.
Vale Stables Limited is known for, no show deliveries, poor quality and abysmal customer service. The same will apply to the others as nothing happens without the Managers Martin Potters say so. If you run into a problem ie missing parts, incorrect parts or repeated failed delivery by his own drivers/fitters he will take umbrage and refuse to communicate or resolve the issue. You may be left out of pocket or with an order that is not fit for purpose, as we have.
