Just wondered if anyone has used Global Herb's Alphabute?

My cob mare is coming up short on her front fore leg only in trot :s and the vet can't find anything wrong with her, shes had x-rays, nerve blocking, flexion tests all of which she was fine with. She is sound in the field but short when you ride her!

She had also had 15 months off work due to this and having Laminitis last year (which wasn't brought on due to weight)

I spoke to global herbs thinking of a joint supplement and they suggested Alphabute which says it gives relief and comfort to joints and tendons. I asked them if this would just mask any pain (thinking of normal medicated bute) and they said no - I tried her on it and it does actually work thing is I'm still scared I may just be covering something up!

She is only in extremely light work (aprox 15 mins, nearly all walk twice a week) and is still totally sound when I turn her out and the next day so I don't think its hurting her but still a bit worried!

Thanks in advance :)

have used it - the main ingrediant is boswellia serrata which you can buy seperately on ebay herbal shops cheaper - boswellia (frankencense) is a natural anti inflammatory so seems as though is taking some inflammation down somewhere. Its better than bute as reduces the inflammation and is kinder on guts/liver. one of other ingrediants is good old ground turmeric you can get in refill bag from tesco indian section for about £2.00 - very good for arthritis - its main acting curcumin helps inflammation again.
the other ingrediant in small quantity is white willow - i am lucky wnough to have white willow trees around me so i just chuck a couple of branches in field and she eats the bark.
alphabute does work - works out exepnsive so you can get the two main ingrediants elsewhere if cant afford to keep on global herbs stuff.
