well i paid for another company brand of green lipped muscle shell which is what pernamax is effectively and i have still not received it almost 2months later, i am fuming!!!
i have heard it is great stuff, if you can bloody get it!

Yes, waste of money IMO! used it for three months and didn't see any improvement on clicky joints., so changed to Super solvitax and still no change ( but its cheaper!)

Used it for 3 months at loading dose with no improvement at all. Best I've found are Cortavet or Cosequine both from vets!

. I heard great reviews about it, so I guess it works for some and not for others. I was using the Newmarket joint supplement, but took him off it to start permanax. The change was amazing, he was back to being lame, very stiff, clicking etc. I gave Permanax a month, then put his straight back on the NJS!

Pernamax works differently to glucosamine/chondroitin formulations like Cortaflex and NJS, so a horse may need one or the other or both.
1. Pernamax is an anti-inflammatory like bute or devil's claw.
2. Glucosamine speeds up the repair and renewal of cartilage and chondroitin helps neutralise destructive enzymes and improve the quality of synovial fluid.
So Pernamax will provide fast acting relief if the horse is suffering mild inflammation but it won't fix cartilage or synovial fluid. Preparations like Cortaflex and NJS that act on the joint in this way may take longer to show results, but the result will be as a result of improving the tissues themselves.
I use both Pernamax and Cortaflex together and find it a very effective combination.
