Anyone used Rapport bedding?

Hiya

I'm thinking of changing my horse from shavings to rapport, anyone got any good/bad reviews?

Also, how many bales would I need to start a bed without rubber matting?

Hi,

I look after a lady's horse at my yard when shes away on holiday and due to her horse having breathing difficulties she uses rapport with rubber matting.
I personally don't like it as it reminds me of our arena surfacing and cant see it being very comfy to lie on or have any warmth to it! However it is reasonably absorbant and you have little waste as it just falls through the fork but just not my cup of tea!

I use shavings just to catch the urine on rubber matting and went to a supplier who recommended it saying I would use less and its unedable. I used three times as much in a week and one of my horses ate it. I think its awful stuff

I used Rapport when Aubiose was unavailable and really didn`t like it. Aubiose seems denser somehow whereas the rapport was looser and didn`t compact down as well to make a firm bed. I use aubiose on top of rubber matting and lift the wet out once a week, skip out daily when he`s in.
