Whisky hates my old horse who is 29 and the light of my life. I've had him since he was 3. I bought Whisk 3 years ago and he attacks Hadleigh if they are out together. I catch Whisk at midday and open up the gates to let the others, including Hadleigh, out together. Today the evil git, Whisky, pulls loose from me and flies across the field, ears flat back, and attacks Haddy again Now my poor old boy has two big bites abnd scrapes on his back and rump. He followed me up the field and insisted on coming in. He is now tucked up in bed with a huge haynet and a couple of bute. Whisk on the other hand is being ignored!! Anyone want a badtempered, evil git of a horse?!!

Oh dear - sounds like he's displaying his wild herd instincts....alot of horses beat Ty up due to his blindness as they would in the wild.

Can't you put Hadleigh out with a pony instead?

Hads goes out with a mare for the morning and Whisk is in a different field with my old mare and they are fine. They can see each other as the fields are next to each other. When I bring Whisk in I open up the gate to let the other 3 in together. It saves me walking back down the field as that's where the gates are. As from tomorrow I will bring the evil one in and then go back and open the gate!!!

Yep I hate having to split them all up and have never had to do it before. Maybe I should stick to English horses. Whisk is a big bad Hanoverian from Germany. I think he has too much testosterone in him, tho he is gelded, cos he's fine with mares! Little sod that he is. He is quite sweet as long as you are not another gelding! LOL
bb6 come get him but be quick I'll have changed my mind tomorrow when I've calmed down a bit!!
