Haha how did you get that off??

Iwas having a really bad day, but seeing these has sooo brightened my day up!!! The picture of that foal absolutly brillient!!1:D Im never going to moan about my daughters pony ever again!!!!LOL

I forgot and dont have pics, but my cob mare once sauntered out into the field all clipped and smart, and promptly decided to lay down in the bloody water jump! I didn't see it, but once I caught her up I dragged her in with pond slime and goose poo dripping of her! I am a cruel, cruel person. Despite it being December I tied her up and hosed her and the expensive rugs off! :D

CF: what a gorgeous Fresian! Though I think nearly all Fresians are gorgeous... I know how much work goes into keeping their mane and feathers at the best of times though - can't imagine what kind of monumental effort getting him fully clean took!

I'm so relieved there are other horses as muddy as mine! At my yard Mickey always the muddiest! he's almost embarrassing! Everyone else leads in their clean horses, no matter what the weather!

I dont have any pics but i'm glad that i'm not alone in spending hourse getting mud off, the past three times i've been up have mstly been spent taking off mud then nearly being too tired to ride and having a fidgety horse.

Only prob i really have is that rug or no rug he seems to love rubbing his face in mud maybe he thinks its a face mask!?...any tips for getting dried mud off of eye areas and in ears??

Thanks for all the pics - loving this post and makes me feel better that Kelsi is not the muddiest. I have one clean cob who will sleep in the grass and tries to keep clean. Kelsi has her big mud patch that she lies in every day whatever the weather, it's weird that she likes the same place can't be very warm sleeping in wet mud.

I don't have any pics to share but I want to congratulate you all on allowing your horses to get muddy.

I am a firm believer in allowing horses to roll in the mud as part of their mental and physical health.

I find a metal shedding blade makes short work of the mud too.

Actually mud is quite warming.

I am a bit of a freak who walks barefoot in the fields. The mud keeps my toes warm.

my pony just now reminded me of this thread. thank god he's got that rug on! the pic doesnt really show just how thick and oozey the mud is. was very tempted to hose it off but thought no point as he'll be covered again by the time i go back down!
