I'm looking for a friend again - this time 15.2-16.1 gelding if anyone fancies trawling through some adverts?
Pref no younger than 6, no older than 13 and has to be really safe to hack as well as in the school. Its for a mother (predominatly) and daughter (occasionally) share. Mother wants to just hack really, mabye do a bit of schooling and showing but nothing to fancy but is very nervous! Daughter wants to do a little bit of occasional jumping and little XC or sponsered rides etc.

So must be 100% (or as close as you can get) safe, be ok to ride every other day (sometimes every day) but fine to leave a few days and then get back on. Its a home for life no matter what the age (seriously she already has 3, 2 retired and one husbands horse she looks after all stabled on DIY at the same yard as me :p!). Will get loads of TLC as would be the only horse she rides and she really cant take loosing/retiring anymore so sound horses please! All will be 5 stage vetted.

Her silly requirements (i know she will read this :p!) Is she wants a bay or black as thats what her others are but Im working on her to go see any horse irrespective of colour. She also wasnt a medium wide (saddle fit) horse as tragically lost her mare to cancer after only a few months of owning her and thats what she was but I told her shes too picky!!

Budget up to 4k.

Thank you - will be very impressed if someone finds something that fits all of that and isnt owned by a dodgey dealer (open to dealers, just not well predominatly in Kent!). Shes in Herts but will travel if needed ;)

She also wasnt a medium wide (saddle fit)

 Is she going to take a wintec gullet guage with her when she goes to view and walk away from any horses that aren't M/W?

I wish her luck with her search but I think that she needs to stay fixed on the most important issues (safe, sound and sane horse) and relax about other things (colour, saddle fit). ;)

Your post did make me smile though :D I hope that her perfect horse is out there as it sound like a lovely home.

Haha tell me about it, I already told her Im going to bring her home a lovely safe coloured pony!! The top two paragraphs are the important one (safe to hack and jump small courses/sponsored rides/ small cross country, be able to not have to ride every day etc) :) Oh and the bottom one budget of 4k ;)

Haha cuppa tea can you PM me the info anyway - I am working on her colour wise and she told me today saddle fit isnt really that important so long as its suitable for purpose. The one think she cant stand is white legs, hates them which tbh her horse with white socks gets really bad mudfever (although hasnt this year) so I can kind of understand it :p
