Anyone want to play a guessing game?

Curious to see how big she's standing, I got my measuring stick out last night and used it on Flower. Seeing as her mum was there with her, I thought I'd take a look at how tall Mary was now as well. I shaved a little off if anything, as neither were much in the mood for standing still, but according to the stick, Flower is currently 13.2hh, and Mary is 15.1hh (both were done three times to make it as accurate as possible).

Mary was the bigger surprise, TBH! I knew Flower had to be 13hh plus, and I thought Mary had grown a little too, but she's now gained three inches in the year since I've owned her. I don't think Mary has much more to grow height wise, but being a coblet, I'm sure there's plenty of filling out still to do.

So, I have my own guesses, but if anyone else wants to join in, how big do you think Flower foal is going to end up? And what about Mary? Anyone think we might have another inch or two to go there?

Here are a couple of the most recent pictures of them to help you out. Bear in mind, Flower is four months now, and Mary is five.

That's a terrible photo of Mary - she looks short, stumpy, and very oddly put together - but they're about the best comparison pictures I have! :D

Do the string test on mum, and wait for a few months to do it on the foal

Oh, I know that I can string test if I really want to know, I just thought that it might be fun to guess :) In all honesty, though, it wouldn't be accurate to string test Flower yet, and I don't think Mary has enough growing left to make it worth my time doing it on her.

Wow, flower is doing really well, what a chunky monkey

She really is, and that's just on milk. We introduced stud balancer a few days ago too, but it certainly wasn't because she needed any extra pounds!
