Anyone want to see my horses first jumping session today?

Hey Guys,
Meet Bert , 4 yr old ..He had his first jumping session today with my instructor, he has a lot to learn obviously but i think he has something ..Just thought i would share it with you all. He is sweet hopefully i will event him next yr if all goes to plan !

Bert looks brill! really looks to be enjoying it. just don't do too much too soon cos he looks super keen and you wouldn't want to ruin that

Thanks guys..Well i'm throwing ideas around now on what to do with him ..ill prob do some winter dressage and some indoor jumping with lots of grid work at home...Lots of hacking and a few trips to my local x c training place. Ill keep it all fairly low key and just get him out and about ready for an intro next spring i think Dead chuffed with him he is keen and your right i don't want to knock his confidence at this early stage . He also needs to fill out a bit ! But im happy with him ..only had him 3 weeks ago so its early days ...

IMO he needs lots more on the flat and to be allowed to fill out and mature. Let him do this slowly over the winter and the jumping will not suffer.

Brighteyes i totally agree i have only had him three weeks so his schooling is really none existent. I jumped him today to see how he got on and to give him something else to think about he is only young and has plenty of time i'm in no rush. I'm certainly not going to be taking him jumping just yet ..i put the video up to show you my horses FIRST jumping session ..he has a lot to learn.
