Millie was out for nearly 4 weeks earlier this year when she flatly refused to be caught. It was infuriating; everyone thinks you are being feeble, but you name it I tried it.
She's now in a tiny field with another mare, and she wears a grazing muzzle so she wants to come in at night - most of the time.
It took me an hour to get her in on wednesday though. I'm always relieved once that leadrope is clipped on!
Maddie at Mossburn does that!
i always get someone else to get her as i never ride her but she scares me if i have to bring her in for feeds!
have to take all the other horses out first then she comes up.
will that not work? if she's the last one in the field?
Well I did manage to catch one of the ponies at our yard today. Owner had been trying to catch her for ages and she let me walk right up to her - think she just wanted to really embarrass them.
They were really impressed. Lucky they didn't see me chase my horse round in the pouring rain last Sunday cursing and swearing at him! Wouldn't mind but I only wanted to move him to a field with more grass.
