help me build a regime?!!I have a ODE next w/e, and whilst i have been focusing ALOT on flatwork i think i need more excercises. I have problems getting him to do shoulder in on the right rein(think thats right-when i have to push with left leg?!)And he seems quite stiff on that side. He does loosen up and has got better since i started working on it but anyone got any more excercises? If someone wants to write me down a regime for the coming days up to the ODE that would be GREAT!lol

i sometimes if the wont do shoulder in very well imagine ur going to change the rein across the centre line and as the leave the track push the horse sideways for a few side turn off do a 10 metre circle or do 12-15 metre if ur horse finds it hard.. and as you come round the last bit of the circle push the horse sideways again i find it works really well....

i also do lots of leg yeilding as it helps the horse get more into ur outside rein but dont let the horse run through its shoulder keep hold and it also help to hind legs. also when you are doing this when the horse is doing it really nicely both ways do leg yeilding for a little bit then straighten up and push some some bigger strides becuase the horse is on the hind leg from the leg yeild they are alot more active when you ask them for bigger strides...

you can also change the the rein and as you come off the corner leg yeild to the other side but let the quaters catch up tho...

hope this makes sense....

there lots more you can do pm if u want any more
