This is the first time i have ever seen this guy on tv. I am somewhat confused.
There was a clip of him frantically waving a whip help vertically either side of a horses head, with the horse wide eyed backing away. Just looked to me that the horse was terrified of being hit?
Secondly he showed a demo of how to laterally flex a horses neck, which i too feel is important but when the horse didnt flex enough he 'bumped' it in the mouth, so basically tugged horse in the mouth. I thought that this would cause hardness of the mouth?
Thirdly he tells a story of mustering a 40K 'field' on a 2 year old mare. Now i have mustered many a time in the outback as i lived on a cattle station and never would i do this on a 2year old stock horse considering stock horses dont normally reach skeletal maturity till around 5.
Prehaps i am missing something or i am seing this demo differently to others?
