This is the first time i have ever seen this guy on tv. I am somewhat confused.

There was a clip of him frantically waving a whip help vertically either side of a horses head, with the horse wide eyed backing away. Just looked to me that the horse was terrified of being hit?

Secondly he showed a demo of how to laterally flex a horses neck, which i too feel is important but when the horse didnt flex enough he 'bumped' it in the mouth, so basically tugged horse in the mouth. I thought that this would cause hardness of the mouth?

Thirdly he tells a story of mustering a 40K 'field' on a 2 year old mare. Now i have mustered many a time in the outback as i lived on a cattle station and never would i do this on a 2year old stock horse considering stock horses dont normally reach skeletal maturity till around 5.

Prehaps i am missing something or i am seing this demo differently to others?

I don't think your missing anything. I watched him once and was in complete shock at what i saw.

As far as i am concerned its glorified animal abuse. His attitude is awful and it seems that he has some underlying masculinity issues which he takes out on horses.

I don't know how H & C justify showing it on their channel!

Its left me quite perplexed, he muttered on about 'idiots breeding with other idiots' which the american audience didnt seem to find very funny and then spoke about 5 mins about following the seam of your jeans to find your hip bone and if you are not wearing jeans 'well go and get a pair'. Erm no Clinton i find jeans rather uncomfortable to ride in actually....

I actually said to my husband 'what the f' whilst watching it and i never swear! My husband who is an Aussie just said 'dont get me started he is an embarrasment to my country'.Any fellow Australians feel the same?

Well, as an ex-Aussie, I think at least 50% of Aussie males are an embarrassment!:D (I'm sure your husband is not one of them!) But Clinton Anderson is - he'son the same scale of stupidity as Prat Parelli!
