Anyone watching BBC1??

And see the bloke with the crowbar backing away from the GSD X Sarloos Wolfdog?? (No BBC and Mr Policeman, that does NOT make it part wolf )

Sensible decision if you ask me!! :D

I am a bit sceptical that he is half Sarloos, he just looks like any tight coated sable GSD (from east German/Czech lines) you would see competing in a working trial - of course, I've been wrong before.

Can't see what benefits that blood would bring to a dog doing civil work, either, never heard of one doing well on the sport side, I would think they wouldn't take to well to that sort of thing, but again, I'm willing to be proved wrong!

Now you mention it, we've had five identical to him boarding in the kennels this week actually and they were definately all GSD! 'Cos I met their Daddy freshly imported from Germany today. Check me out hob-nobbing with GSD Mafia! :p :D

I agree that it just looked like an east german line shepherd, think that perhaps they just say wolf to scare the yobs. I also didn't think he looked that bold going into the attack, needed quite a bit of encouragement from the handler.
On a similar theme, this morning the wolf guy from Scotland was on daybreak (hate the programme but just caught a trailer so stayed with it.) He had on 2 4 month old wolf cubs. I am no expert but they looked to me more like wolf cross sheps, in particular they had far more hind angulation than a wolf, and they had a "who are you" type of bark at a camera man, didn't think wolves did that?
