Was looking at the field and going - hang on, that looks like a xc jump! :p

Is the typical English house at the same place?
 
Fairly sure the sheep were at Ascott under Wychwood. The rallying was definitely at Cornbury Park which is close to AUW (J Clarkson lives nearby).

Its a disused airfield 6 miles wnw of Husbands Bosworth (leicestershire).
cant remember the name of it dispite having flown over it hundreds of times. Its my age you know. When I remember the name I will post it. :o
 
memory has returned - its Bruntingthorpe. its not actually disused, just no longer an active military base but does still have historic jets flying from there.

no, top gear it filmed in dunfold surrey. all the track stuff is done there as is the star in the reasonable priced car.
