Hi all, after some sad changes in circumstances we are possibly looking at putting our 2024 filly up for sale. But we have not done this before and have no idea of how to value her. If anyone would mind giving their opinion that would be great. Am I OK to put her basic details on here?

I'm happy to help by PM (will depend a little on how she is bred as to how much I can help) but I will forewarn you the market is completely dead, just to set your expectations on potential value!

Bred with jumping in mind but mum has competed dressage to good level and evented low level as well.
Concorde/Good times mare, Cadensky sire. Filly. Should mature around 16.1 to 16.2.

A friend of mine told me the goresbridge sales where dreadful and good quality foals failed to reach decent prices. So unless your foal has exceptional movement/ confo etc etc , sadly the market isnt great at the moment. Plus, people are starting to realise what it costs to keep a store. Not everyone has the facilities to keep at home and youngstock livery is £££

If you could post a photo that can help. Otherwise you are looking around £2-£3k mark. Most wanted adverts ive seen are now looking for foals for £1k !
I decided to give it a go advertising both my colts. I just popped an ad on FB and one got stacks of interest and the other very little. The one that had lots of interest has potentially sold (the most expensive one of the two and we have now received a deposit) is pure bred ID with great breeding , but more importantly is a looker. The other is a part bred connie, not as flashy but also much cheaper. Hes had zero interest.

Thank you, we bred her with all intentions to keep, but circumstances have changed at home and youngstock livery is at a very expensive premium it seems!
We haven't advertised yet as got some things going on this week, but may possibly put her on the market next week and see if we get any interest.

Ive just had a quick look on horsequest and theres another bay filly by Cadensky for sale. Priced at £6.5k. Quite a lot of WB on at £6-£8k. Whether they are selling at those prices is another matter

Thank you, its been a long time since we sold a horse, never mind a foal. I guess we will see how it goes when we advertise.
Good luck with yours.
