Anyone who has/has had a WOW saddle...

So it looks like Max will be getting a WOW saddle! Yay!! Albeit a secondhand one as

Now obviously we will be getting it fitted but because we won't be getting it new its a case of deciding what panels we need first so we can track some down through ebay/fitters etc. We'll also be contacting WOW with templates and pics to see what they suggest.

But, being impatient I'm trying to work it out from their fitting guide http://wowsaddles.com/wow/nosaddlefitter.htm but because of his shape its not easy.

Soooo if you have/have had a WOW pretty please can you tell me what panel your horse had and describe the shape of your horses back - pics would be even better.

I'll get some pics of Max tomorrow for you all to advise too

Sorry don't know anything about WOW saddles but a friend of a friend bought one and had it fitted etc and it is terrible. She won't even ride in it now!!

And I have five! I love marmite too What shape is Max?? I've been able to get the same type of SDWG panel to fit every horse I have used them on (nine or ten so far) but I am currently struggling with a horse with the girth groove way out in front of the saddle and his saddle keeps slipping forwards. I have failed with a panel change (no change) and with a foregirth (tilts the saddle down in front so the panels at the cantle are an inch off his back. If you blow up the front to try to balance it, makes pressure points) and I am currently waiting the arrival of an H girth.

So..... I would not wholehearedly recommend them for a horse with a foreward girth groove, but I still love them for their adjustability and the freedom of the horse's shoulder with the carbon fibre jointed tree.
