Anyone with more than one horse... do you ever wish

I sometimes do from a financial POV but to be honest one of mine is on a full loan type thing, i just pay for vet bill, insurance and such like....I guess this though I still have her, still shell out for her, just dont reap the befits!
 
Oh yes, but I do love my old ponies. I'll be glad to go back down from four back to three soon when my unsound eight year old goes. I would love to have two different types of riding horse really, rather than one useful sports horse and three field ornaments.

Yes, at times. For one winter (before I got Be) I just had Star and really enjoyed devoting all my time and money to just the one

However, no way would I get rid of either of my current girls (one old one broken), and I need a ride.... so looks like this year I shall go up to 3 again!

When I had 3, two on livery and one on field livery, I definatly had times when I wished that I only had one, there wasn't enough hours in the day and life would easier as I wouldn't need two jobs and sharers..... now I am down to one, there are times I wish I still had the boys but my Mare is benefiting from the 1:1, I am not so tierd after loosing the second job, although I still struggle with money and the sharer.
 
I wouldn't mind getting down to one horse for me and one pony for my daughter. I have a couple of super pc / hunting ponies I need to find homes for, it makes sense to, but I just can't bring myself to do it - despite needing the money, the free time, the grazing etc! So I guess I'll be a 'hoarder' til the very end!
 
Yes when it's cold and dark and horrible - but come the show season I have 3 to play with so life is never dull!!
 
At times yes , but then i think how spoilt that sounds and how much i love my boys i have now

I do think having one horse...
-would cost less/have more cash to buy that really pretty rug i want
-Id have more time to spend riding and have a fitter horse
-Only one set of tack to clean/stable to muck out/field to poo pick
-id have more space in my tack room

But this doesnt prevent me from looking longingly at a few horses i would really like to own aswell as my current 3

No.

If I ever got down to one I'd have money in my pocket and I'd only go out and buy more. Or, alternately, I'd sell that last one as well, then there'd be no point having the farm, so I'd sell that as well, then I'd just move a few Provinces along, buy a cabin on the side of a lake at the foot of a mountain and start over again.

Cheaper to keep the few horses I have now for a couple more years.
 
sometimes i do yes.

i have 3 atm, and i sometimes think if i sold all of them i could buy 1 superduper horse, have it at an amazing yard, compete all of the time, go on holiday etc.

however, in reality my 3 are here to stay as i couldn't bear to sell any of them and spring will be here soon and everything looks a lot better in daylight!
