Anyone with rambo plus rugs!

I'm thinking of buying one at your horse but not sure re fit for my 15.2hh cob who takes 6'9" rugs normally. Should i go up a size to 7' so it'll fit round her shoulders. I don't want to buy it and then it not fit. Any help/advice most welcome xxx

Do you mean the full neck red one, I have that for Beau. He is a 7ft in other rugs, and his Rambo is a 7ft and fits him fine.

Yes it is that one, she's a medium weight cob so has quite broad shoulders that's why i'm a bit unsure! xx

I have several Rambo Wug Plus rugs. Although my horses are TB's, one is built like a Charolais bullock and she takes her usual 6'9" in Rambos.

I've got a Shire X TB 16.2hh he takes a 6ft9 and he is built more like a shire!!

My horse has one and takes the same size as he does in any other rug. I love it - he's had it 2 years now and its done a fab job.

I just bought two, and had to take them back as they were too small, so I've gone one size bigger than they normally have. And I think Rambo do suggest that you go one size bigger than normal for turnout rugs.

I just sent one to the rug repairers for the first time in its 7 year life, simply because a young horse in the field next doof grabbed hold and made a tiny rip.

They are fab.

The only thing I would say is that they're not quite warm enough for my fully clipped horse (he has legs off and everything) so he has to have a lightweight one over the top at night, or even another medium weight turnout in the middle of winter.
