Is it £4000 per claim or £4000 per year? It’s hard to tell on the policy document.

I really hope it’s the latter as I’m now looking at a stifle issue as well as the ulcers.

Sorry that it’s me bothering you all again!

ETA - I will ring them but they’re not open but I’m all anxious and may not sleep tonight if I don’t know

Each illness and injury is covered for a period of 12 months. The maximum
amount you can claim for each injury or illness is shown on your Certificate of
Insurance Horse Details

This is taken from the policy summary - it's £4k (or whatever your cover is) per injury or illness per year - after one year they don't won't pay out any more. I was recently very grateful that my horse's recent problems were deemed to be two seperate conditions otherwise I would have had a significant shortfall.

Oh thank god for that! We think that the stifle may have caused the ulcers but she’s never been lame until the Physio released everything and now she is lame so hoping it counts as 2 claims

I have just claimed through them. They put 3 claims through at the same time, ulcers, KS and Hock - yep he is a bit broken! So each area had a £4000 insurance on it not £4000 for all 3 things. They have paid the vet promptly and not questioned it at all. I found them very helpful and it was the "call centre" that said to put in through as 3 claims - good luck

Oh god! Sounds like you are having similar luck to me!

Me, I've always used them to insure my horses. As far as I know it's as the others have said, £4k per illness/injury rather than £4k per 12 months.

I'm insured with them and had a double claim a few years back. They were very prompt and worked with the 2 claims on the same leg. The only thing I made a mistake on was the vets selling me a large tub of joint supplement which counted as an alternative therapy not covered by my insurance..ouch!!

I'm also insured with them mine is £4,000 per claim. I had to do 3 or is it 4 claims in 2 years and they have been brilliant quick to pay and nice to speak to. Would def use them again.
