Anyone with Sky Tv ???? advice needed ????

I have sky in 1 room , want to put it in childs room too , but so they can watch a different channel to me in main room .
so We have a spare sky box sitting in cupboard , do i just need to put this additional box into childs room and run cable from aerial on roof through to room and into box , and we will have a diffent , seperate sky box in cholds room operating on whichever channels eh wants , while we watch our programmes ??????

You need to sky to set up multiroom for you - if you have a box then there won't be a charge for that but there will be an install charge and it's an extra £10 per month.

You'll need another card to watch Sky programmes on both boxes (Sky multiroom) You also need at least a twin LNB on your dish to attach child's co ax cable to.
 
We have one dish, a twin LNB and two boxes. We only have (very limited
mad.gif
) free view but can watch different channels on each box. As SM says, it's another tenner a month if you want a 'ghostcard' that carries identical programming to your current card.
