Roo had surgery in December to get rid of scar tissue and tidy up all the tendon sheath area in both her front legs.
I have followed what the vets told me to do, and have finally started cantering on hacks.
However she felt slightly 'off' on my last ride, and today she seemed a little uncomfortable out on the grass. (until I had hold of some hay, and then she looked fine, so I may be imagining that)

I want to put her out in a herd soon, (I have to do it soon or I'll have to move yards AGAIN) So is there anything I can do? I have some magnetic stable wraps, but theyre really thick as designed for winter in stable when its really cold.

Any feed supplements? (preferably that dont cost the earth!)
do I use the Magnet Boots even though their thick?
Do I buy a cold therapy type boot (I saw one you soak in cold water?)
Ive looked at turnout boots, think I may buy some of those for the day she goes in with others.

Anything else I can try ??

All the things you could mention you could try. However, I don't believe any of them actually work. Keep the work schedule light and not too long. If she has had tendon damage it can take 15 months to properly repair so don't do too much too fast or you will be back at square one again.

Put her back in with the herd. Even if you had magic boots and fairy dust to go with them there is always the chance she can injure herself again. She's a horse, after all!

Magnetic boots are good but I wouldn't turn out in them as most boots can cause overheating of the leg when left on for hours at a time and this can be detrimental to tendons.

Ice cups would be better than a cold therapy boot and easier and cheaper to use.

I think if you are looking at turn out boots I would go for the premier equine sports boots as they have the airflow technology (basically allows air to get to leg through series of wire mesh on side of boot). This will keep the tendons cool.

I'd make sure when introducing any horse to a herd that she is in a paddock next door to the herd for at least a week so they can meet over the fence and sort out their squabbles before hand. I'd also consider getting her a supplement for her particular injury http://www.ehow.co.uk/list_6869727_herbal-remedies-horse-tendon-injury.html I've attached a link to help you decide.

Hope all goes well for you and your mare x
