Anywhere else been hit by the crazy hailstorm??!

We're getting back to normality at the yard today, but still a massive clear up to do. the diggers/tractors are pulling down any roof tiles that are not properly attached and the massive static caravan (that was on its side) has been demolished this morning. Just so pleased all the horses are coping with it all so well!

Angelish - so sorry to read about your friends horse

Read in the news today that the equivalent of half a months rain fell in 60 minutes in Leicestershire yesterday...

unfortunatly we weren't all unscathed :(

my friends dear old horse was hit and killed by lightning today :(

Oh what a shame, how awful, poor horse, my sympathies to your friend.
It can, rain and snow, with a bit of wind and i dont really worry about the horses, but thunder and lightning, if i can, i stop what im doing and go and get them in asap, its that and really high winds that raise my heart rate a bit.
I am so sorry to hear of your friends horse being killed in this way :(

So sorry for the loss of the horse, I can imagine some animals would have been quite hurt, especially nesting birds in the trees. On a good note the show I couldnt make has been moved to the following week and on a surface so I can now go ! at least its good for something!

What a shame about your friends horse Anglelish, theres another one on my FB feed that was killed too. Tragic.

My symapthies to everyone who got caught up in the awful weather yesterday, and to your friend angelish.

How we escaped without a drop of rain just south of Market Harborough I don't know, the forecast looked bad, I even left work early so I could be at home with my dogs.

Lets hope that we have some luck and decent weather so we can enjoy whats left of summer and get some good hay in :)
