Anyone got any tips of getting rid of the winter coat ? Although Missy has just got the woolies around her rump area to go , How do I get it off

, Washed her yesterday to loosen it up abit, shes rugged , been using shedding blade and rubber gloves to rub it loose .

Anyone got any more tips ?? Balmoral is tomorrow week

One would get a grooming stone in ones local tack shop

They look like a pumice stone. We used one on Honeys considerably large backside and the difference was amazing!

plenty of scrubbing.
nesting birds-the ones round here grab it by the beakfull-or they did until the fly rugs when on lol
i suppose putting them under lights early on in the year would also help start it sooner...
 
I use a rubber curry comb in a sideways direction.

eg. horses coat is facing >>> so I use it ^v^v and then brush in direction in hair. Took me an hour and a bit to do Amber's bum the other week and it was still coming out.
With persistence and everyday grooming it should come out though.
