First of all a big thankyou to all who scraped me off the deck, including the judge and an apology to those whose test(s) I buggered up!
Took the baby for his first outing since January and 3rd time out ever to the 'pick a test' at Radway. He was a bit gawpy and wayward, as to be expected but a small spook near a puddle sent me a bit wobbly and once I'd collapsed the upper body and lost a stirrup I was beyond help, couple of small humps and I hit the floor with a right wallop. S'pose I've had a run of luck considering I've had him 6 months and this was the first dumping but in public, the humiliation was intense.
When I'd finally stopped snivelling they let me lunge and ride him in the indoor school and feeling better, thought we'd have a pop at the prelim 1 after all.
We did a very wobbly walk/trot test of our own invention with another dismount in the middle, this time more my choice than his, but got back on and finished with a very obedient and tearful halt.
I think I deserve a pat on the back for effort and next time I will try not to cry quite so much!!
