I hate it - i think it is barbaric and wonder how many idiots will start galloping horses on tarmac, jumping parked cars etc.... I know its only an advert but to me it is clearly showing that these beautiful noble, kind willing creatures are just tools to be abused before they get shipped off to be meat balls.

I don't really mind the advert as you see hunts riding more aggressively on Tarmac than those in the ad but I wouldn't have anything to do with the national or racing for that matter.

I think its quite good but that's because it is so obviously not real! If they had horses galloping off cliffs would idiots follow? Don't answer that...

I like it :)

No one is going to copy if FGS. It is clearly a brilliant bit of film editing with a bit of humour rather than an instructional video.

the 'idiots' who may see this advert probably do the things in the advert already......
i have friends that jump picnic tables
gallop on roads out hunting
jump hedges for fun
and there are plently of pictures of people jumping cars

My friend has a fiat 500.......but as far as I know, she hasn't driven it into the sea just because the fiat advert shows that.

I am on the fence when it comes to racing but I don't see the problem with the advert.

I dont think anyone would think they are actually galloping those horses...

I love the advert, very clever piece of advertising

The horses that lose their riders are stunt horses from the Devils Horsemen I do believe. The rest are real racehorses that were shipped over from Ireland from one trainer and had to have been over the xc racecourse or be a proper hanicapper that knew its stuff. The racehorses had real jockeys. The 'winner' was Jim Crawley, an amature jockey. The stunt horses had stunt riders on.

I like it, it's a bit cringe worthy from a racing persons point of veiw but you can see why it would appeal to the general public.

don't event riders jump cars? sure they have pretty flowers on top but a car is a car.
I like the advert, it's not as if it's real or anything.

Ekw I was told by a friend her daughters hunter was involved in this advert, they have connections with someone making the advert, so not all racehorses or stunt horses.

There was an item on local TV news about how they made the advert, lot of cleaver camera work! All had to be dismantled at end of day so was created specially for advert.

Have not yet decided whether or not I am watching the race, disappointed that the number of runners does not seem to have been reduced.

I did think one looked very much more hunterish than stuntish. I spoke to Jim who was only told stunt or racehorse. I guess he never bothered to ask about the non-racehorses lol!

I'm a bit old fashioned re the Grand National - so for me its BBC, Champions, Peter O'Sullevan etc

However accept times move on etc and I like this! Like the bit where some one ends up in the greenhouse!

Sure there's quite a bit of CGI in there so wouldn't worry too much and come on we've all jumped park benches on a pony - or was that just me!!

Anyway i love the Grand National and feel so sorry about all the negative publicity that's come its way. Aintree will be on tenterhooks this year that 40 go out and 40 come back.
